The masterplan for the airport was designed by a gentleman called Sir Frederick Gibberd. He had also designed the original control tower, central area buildings, and the original terminals.

Heathrow Airport has four passenger terminals and a cargo terminal. It is used by over 80 airlines flying to 185 destinations in 84 countries.
